Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to your answers, in plain English. Please read it before you share your name or email.
Who looks after your information
The Academy of Life Planning (AoLP) is the data controller for this scorecard. Contact us at steve@academyoflifeplanning.com with any question about your information.
What we collect
- Your answers to the statements, scenarios and situation questions.
- Anything you type into the optional text boxes. Please don't include names or personal details.
- If you choose to give them: your first name, email address and your consent choices.
- Basic technical details: the date and time, how long you took, and how you found the page (for example, a LinkedIn link).
We don't collect your income, savings, account details or any financial records.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To email your results, only if you ask us to. Basis: your consent.
- To contact you about your results and next steps, only if you tick that box. Basis: your consent.
- To test and improve this pilot measure using answers without names or emails. Basis: our legitimate interest in checking the scorecard is fair and useful. If you tick the research box, you're also telling us you're happy for this.
Where it is stored
Responses are stored in a private Google Sheet held by AoLP. Emails are sent from AoLP's Google account.
Use of AI
If you agree that we may contact you, a short summary of your results is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to draft a reply. A person at AoLP reads and edits every draft before anything is sent. Nothing is sent to you automatically by AI, and AI makes no decision about you.
How long we keep it
We keep your name and email for up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Answers without names may be kept longer to support research on the measure.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, at any time by emailing us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
What we never do
We never sell your information, and we never share it with product providers.
